Pazitos Scholarship Program

We are excited to announce our newest initiative - a scholarship program!

The Pazitos Scholarship Program aims to empower youth in El Salvador by providing them financial support as they pursue their academic and professional goals. For many youths in rural areas of El Salvador the cost of tuition, fees, supplies, and transportation makes it difficult to obtain higher education.

We partnered with Becas San Pedro Nonualco, a scholarship program based in the Department of La Paz. The program was established in 2005 and since its start it has assisted 50 high school and 16 university students. Scholarship recipients receive guidance and support from the Program Director, Rolando Barillas. The program ensures students grow beyond the classroom by facilitating community projects and a reading club. Past community projects have included community clean-ups, mural painting, and tutoring high school students.

Pazitos is committed to funding one scholarship this year. Our scholarship recipient is Alejandra, a 5th year law student who will be the first in her family to graduate from college! Our goal is to raise $1350 to cover Alejandra’s scholarship.

Interested in joining our efforts?

Consider making a tax-deductible donation and help Alejandra reach her goals!

Suggested donation levels:

$38 covers one week

$150 covers one month

$300 covers two months

Suggested levels are based on scholarship disbursements.
